These tools not only make one’s workflow easier and time-efficient, it also serves in a utilitarian and clutter-free way.

In today’s post, we’re going to highlight 5 free useful tools for web developers and designers for May 2014. If you know of any newly released web tool, do let us know by posting a comment or suggestion below.

Awesome UX Kit

Awesome UX Kit is a collection of 26 free Adobe Illustrator wireframe templates and two brushes, designed by George Vasyagin. At the time of writing, this kit is completely free to use, and is available for iOS7 (iPhone) version only. Tablet and desktop versions will be released very soon.

WinJS

This web project is dedicated to creating the best solution possible for HTML/CSS/JavaScript app development. It provides an array of high-performance UI controls, with fundamental support for touch, mouse, keyboard, and accessibility. It also provides users with an invaluable set of components and features to build the framework and structure of their apps.

Gridlover

Gridlover provides adjustable CSS for font sizes, line heights and margins. The default CSS output is for body, p and h1 to h4 headings, and you can also apply your adjusted values to any element by editing the CSS. Just drag the numbers in the top toolbar left and right to adjust their value. Elements in Gridlover are always kept aligned to a pixel-perfect baseline grid. The font scale is calculated by stepping up the font size by the scale factor for each heading level, while line heights are fitted according to font size.

Infinite Slider

This cutting-edge slider plugin for WordPress-based websites brings the best content of your site to the surface. Compared to other sliders that feature only one image or content at a time, this slider features more than 20, depending on the size of your screen. There are a lot of customizable options, including an auto-slide on/off switch, font settings (use Google Fonts or any provider), option to choose either posts or custom post types, categories, tags to show in the slider, and many more.

ZeroClipboard

The ZeroClipboard library provides an easy way to copy text to the clipboard using an invisible Adobe Flash movie and a JS interface. The ‘Zero’ indicates that the library is invisible, and the user interface will be left entirely up to you. It’s fully compatible with Flash Player 10.0.0 and above, which requires that the clipboard copy operation be initiated by a user click event inside the Flash movie. This is done by automatically floating the invisible movie on top of your chosen DOM element.

ZeroClipboard works with Internet Explorer 7+ and all other major browsers.
